Been using this today, as you run around it makes note of each resource node that you run across. It keeps the spots up on your main map so you know exactly what might be spawning up, even if it's not up you still see where it will be; and also what kind was there the last time you ran around. It's nice when planning out which path to take if you see a pine to the left, and one to the right.
